  Public sector is that part of economy which is controlled or funded by government. In Pakistan 39.2% population is poor and over 2 Million people are living under poverty line. In country like this where majority is poor and can’t afford basic necessities only government sector can help a facilitate people. Why public sector  People welfare: Public sector work for the welfare of their people.  Public organizations work without any lust of profit. On the other hand private sectors only aim is profit making. Job security: public sector have proper mechanism for recruitment , selection and retirement .
