Why public sector is better

 

Public sector is that part of economy which is controlled or funded by government.

In Pakistan 39.2% population is poor and over 2 Million people are living under poverty line. In country like this where majority is poor and can’t afford basic necessities only government sector can help a facilitate people.

Why public sector 

• People welfare:

Public sector work for the welfare of their people.  Public organizations work without any lust of profit. On the other hand private sectors only aim is profit making.

• Job security:

public sector have proper mechanism for recruitment , selection and retirement . No one can fire his junior on single mistake meanwhile in private firms Ceo can fire you any time . As government is head of public sector so employee can enjoy his job without any fear . 

• Facilities:

Public sectors provide all facilities to their employees like accommodation , health and education . And also provide pension after retirement . that’s why people prefer public jobs more and turnout is quite low . 

• Merit base selection:

Public sector have proper mechanism for recruitment , selection and only select capable candidates . They provide proper training after selection . 

• Accountability:

Public sector keep check and balance on employees and have institutes too like NAB, FBR and FBI.

1: Rawalpindi Medical College :

Medical study is quite expensive in Pakistan . private institutes earn millions on name of education . Rawalpindi Medical college provide best medical education in reasonable fee and select only  well deserving students :

2: National skills university Islamabad : 

It is non profit research university which provide opportunities and skill base education to youth .

3: Pakistan post office :

Pakistan post office is one of oldest government departments in sub continent .  It is providing services in every nook and corner of the country through a network of around 13,000 post offices . it is also providing universal postal services. 

4: Kamyab jawan entrepreneurship scheme :

Government of Pakistan launched youth loan scheme for unemployed youth to start their own business . you  can take loan from 1 million to 25 million in 3 tires with easy term and conditions . Till now 1500 entrepreneurs have started their business by 1.5 Billion loan . 

5: PM youth skills development program:

Government launched skill development program to provide skill base education without any cost . even providing virtual courses like freelancing . 

6: Pakistan Railway :

Pakistan railway owns 7,791 kilometers of track across Pakistan , stretching from Torkham to Karachi . it has changed its culture and now its working better . and provide good services to public to travel across Pakistan in low cost . 

7: Federal board of revenue : 

FBR keep check and balance on all public and private sectors and even on every individual . it investigate tax crimes , suspicious accumulation of wealth and money laundering without any discrimination.  it is also providing E Services now . you can register yourself as taxpayer  from home.

8 : NADRA

The National Database and Registration Authority has become a central player in a number of program areas and has been internationally recognized for its expertise , and won many awards for excellence . its is highly advanced and provide one window operation . even people can apply online for Cnic making .

9: State bank of Pakistan :

State bank function as central bank of Pakistan under Pakistan Act 1956. It perform both traditional and developmental functions to achieve macro economic goals. It is responsible to keep exchange rate at appropriate level and work to maintain value of currency . 

State bank of Pakistan also provide paid internships to student which is a great initiative .

10: The National Accountability bureau :

It deal with corruption prevention , raise awareness , and enforce of anti corruption measures . it held accountable to each and every one who try to do corruption without any discrimination . 

No doubt public sector work slowly and are not that much advanced but still they are trying their best to serve public on every source .
